The concept of development dairy farms and renovation of\r\nvillages in Russia
This concept was purposely developed for Russia and based\r\non current demand and
circumstances on Russian market.
The key factors are:
Shortage of liquid milk in Russia;
Constantly increasing demand from milk processors for\r\nliquid milk;
Inefficient existing dairy farms;
Demand for good breed heifers;
Thousands of hectares of land suitable for agriculture\r\nare not in use;
Inefficient systems of land cultivation and crop\r\nmanagement;
Population are moving from rural areas to towns and\r\ncities due to the absence of job
and modern infrastructure and facilities.
Our solution:
Construction of modern highly efficient 3000 milking cows\r\nand 3000 heifers rearing
farms with an investment costs in area of 40 mln. Euro an\r\naverage profitability of 17%
per annum from the year 4;
“No-till” plant growing system for forage;
Biogas power station worked on slurry and manure from\r\ndairy farm, an average
investment in area of 10 mln. Euro and profitability 6-7%\r\nper annum;
Glasshouses for heat and power utilisation and fresh\r\nvegetables and salads growing
(no business predictions made yet, but there is strong\r\nand increasing market demand
for fresh vegetables and salads in Russia);
Possibility of milk processing plant construction,\r\ncreates an opportunity
significantly increase profit for milk sale.
Demand for staff for farm, power station and glasshouses\r\nwill lead to necessity of new
houses construction and renovation of village infrastructure\r\ndue to the absence
of accommodation for workers in existing villages.
Modern technologies can be used in village renovation:
Modern technologies of drinking water purification and\r\nwaste water treatment;
Energy-efficient residential and commercial buildings;
Eco-friendly technologies for waste recycling;
Designing and construction of modern facilities for\r\nsports and outdoor activities.
Renovated village with modern infrastructure will\r\nattract:
Elderly people to move from cities;
Low income families and families with children;
People who are planning resettlements from Northern\r\nregions of Russia.
Realisation of this project will:
Reduce liquid milk shortage on Russian market;
Reduce breed heifers shortage in Russia;
Restore the fertility of agricultural land and improve\r\nefficiency of land usage;
Provide many well paid job places in rural areas;
Replace imported vegetables on Russian market;
Helps to renovate villages;
Reduce technological impact for environment;
Creates possibility of total redevelopment of villages;
Creates possibility of construction of new for Russia\r\nnursing homes for elderly
people and family child care homes.
What is needed:
Availability of the land for agriculture 3000 hectares\r\nfor one farm;
Federal and local Governments support for the project,\r\nthere is preliminary
agreement in a few regions with local Governments for\r\nsupport for this project;
Investors.
